An Invitation to International Conference Partnership or Sponsorship

What is "The Jesus Way"? Who has this way of life? Where do we learn it? How is it different from the life we already know? Why should we care?

June 21-24, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas, at a RENOVARÉ International Conference on Spiritual Renewal, Eugene Peterson, Dallas Willard, John Ortberg, and other prominent speakers and participants will be exploring questions such as these. We will be pushing hard to rediscover and renew the connection between our everyday lives and lifelong, intentional discipleship to Jesus. At the conference, our language for describing this way of life will be "The Jesus Way."

Now, you might ask yourself, "I'm already a Christian, right? Am I not already on ‘The Jesus Way'?" Yes you are. Yes we are. But the culture around us is so pervasive, and the historical and contemporary life of faith and devotion so deep and wide, we know there is more to be learned, embraced, and incarnated into everyday life. We so want The Jesus Way to be our way, and we think this conference will help us attain it. We are especially enthused over the leaders and content for our time together.

General Session speakers Ortberg, Peterson, Willard, and others—this is a great lineup! Eight Workshop Tracks that ruminate at length on the content of intentionality in Christian spiritual formation for various areas of everyday life: arts, home, school, business, church, lifelong discipleship, postmodern culture, and spiritual direction. 35+ Introductory Workshops on the basics of Christian faith and practice from the perspective of lifelong discipleship to Jesus. Enriching worship. Conversations galore. It promises to be a grand and deepening time together.

• have its name listed on the Conference brochure and in the Conference booklet;
• be supporting and making visible an event that offers helpful spiritual formation and discipleship teaching to your church and Christians from around the world;
• have up-front access to a top-notch 2009 adult formation/continuing education opportunity;
• be collaborating with other congregations and organizations of like-mind and like-purpose and different Christian traditions and denominations;
• receive one complimentary copy of The Renovaré Spiritual Formation Bible and the RENOVARÉ Spiritual Formation Guides;
• receive a $129.00 (on or before 1/15/09) and $169.00 (after 1/15/2009) Conference registration price for all church members—saving $10 to $40 per registration;
• receive one complimentary Conference registration, to be used by a pastoral staff member or lay leader;

• send a letter of support from the Senior/Lead Pastor to RENOVARÉ (sample);
• affirm the beliefs presented in The Apostles' Creed as an expression of Christian faith and practice;
• pray for Conference preparations and the Conference through existing prayer networks, and establish new prayer efforts within and between conference-affiliated organizations;
• encourage members to attend by announcing the Conference in sermons, placing and distributing Conference flyers, promoting the Conference in newsletters and on websites, sending email blasts, etc.;
• encourage other individuals and organizations that you are involved with (pastor or denominational meetings, other Christian leaders that you know, etc.) to become involved with the Conference;
• appoint an International Conference Partner contact—Partner contacts receive news, promotional items, and other information from the International Conference Steering Committee and report on progress, build enthusiasm, and spearhead promotions in their own churches;
• support the Conference financially—through donation(s) to the Conference budget and/or by providing scholarships to members of your church who would like to attend the Conference; suggested contributions based on weekly church attendance size:
