of us will help limit some of the impeding things that we say or do. For example, if I realize that my lateness requires that the group stop and take time to fill me in on what has happened—therefore wasting time—then I might make more of an effort to be prompt. Or, if I am aware that I sometimes fear talking about myself and instead talk about other people, I may be able to stop myself from gossiping.

Recognizing what we do—and why we do it—goes a long way in changing our behavior. In the end we will do more to keep the group going where it is headed.

"One Anothering". Paul urged us to look not to our own interest, but to the interests of others (Phil. 2:5). What does it mean to look to the interests of others? It means "one anothering". The New Testament is filled with instructions about how we are to treat one another. We are called to:

• Love one another (John 13:34).
• Serve one another (Gal. 5:13).
• Bear with one another (Eph. 4:2).
• Be devoted to one another (Rom. 12:10).
• Encourage one another (Heb. 10:25).
• Build one another up (1 Thess. 5:11).
• Accept one another (Rom. 15:7).
• Not slander one another (James 4:11).
• Instruct one another (Rom. 15:14).
• Admonish one another (Col. 3:16).
• Carry one another's burdens (Ga. 6:2).
• Be kind to one another (Eph. 4:32).
• Forgive one another (Col. 3:13).

Above all that we say or do, the most important goal is to love one another. When that is the main agenda, groups will grow in dramatic ways, and problems, such as time wasters, will take care of themselves.

Sponsoring a Local Conference

Does the RENOVARÉ model of a balanced vision and a practical strategy speak to your condition?

Are you longing for a deeper, richer, fuller life in the kingdom of God? Are you tired of religious systems that divide and condemn over minutiae, that major in "theologies of sin management," and that give no effective hope for a renewed and transformed life here and now by the power of the Spirit? If so, then you may well be God's agent for sponsoring a RENOVARÉ local conference.

We have done National and Regional Conferences before but this is the first time we are offering to individual churches and groups the opportunity to sponsor an event. Individual team members are ready to come to your church or group for a one-day conference, usually a Saturday. Individual team members have their own area of expertise and unique way of speaking, but to the person we are all committed to proclaiming the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant and transforming.

The schedule for a one-day Local Conference might look something like this:

8:00-9:00 AM—egistration
9:00-10:15 AM—"Living Fully and Freely in God's Kingdom"
10:15-10:45 AM—Break
10:45-12:00 Noon—"A Balanced Vision"
12:00-1:00 PM Lunch—(On Site)
1:00-2:00 PM—"A Practical Strategy"
2:00-3:00 PM—"Growing Together"
3:00-3:30 PM—"Learning Together"
3:30-4:30 PM—"Jesus' Grand Invitation of Grace", Worship and Commitment

Team Members. We have assembled a wonderful group of effective leaders. They come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and from various parts of the country. I personally observed each one for many years before asking them to be a part of the team. They have much to offer all of us about a life with God. Let me share with you a little about each team member from my own perspective of ministry with each one.
