GROWING
PAINS
It
has been some time since we were able to include
"Growing Pains" in the Perspective due
to lack of space. Now that we have expanded to
eight pages, we hope to make this a regular feature
again.
Our
Conference Coordinator, Lyle SmithGraybeal and
his wife moved to Alexandria, Virginia in August
where Felicia is attending Virginia Theological
Seminary. Since Lyle does much of his work via
phone, fax, and e-mail, working off-site is not
a big change for him though we do miss his lively
and analytic additions to our discussions.
Our
home page is now on-line. Lyle worked extremely
hard to make it simple yet useful and informative,
and we think he did an excellent job. The address
is www.renovare.org. Look at it when you
can and send us an e-mail if you want to download
the newsletters off the home page rather than
receiving them by mail or have ideas for the content.

During
our time of fellowship and dreaming about the
future of RENOVARÉ at the annual Board
Meeting in July, everyone shared where they
saw needs in the Church and what we could do
to help meet them. Board members proposed numerous
ideas that our staff revisited at a retreat
in August. Three stood out:
• establish RENOVARÉ in England,
• develop retreats for leaders and lay
people,
• publish a major Bible project.
After much trembling and fear (just kidding),
we feel these are right for us at this time.
